We recently had the honor of providing our marble and granite polishing services to the Kingsbury Hotel, a prestigious 5-star destination in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Known for its stunning architecture and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, the Kingsbury Hotel stands as a beacon of luxury and elegance in the heart of the city.
Our engagement with the Kingsbury Hotel involved a meticulous process of restoring the natural beauty of their extensive marble and granite installations. These materials are hallmarks of luxury but require careful maintenance to preserve their luster and quality.
The scope of our work covered several key areas of the hotel. The grand lobby, with its expansive marble flooring, presented a particular challenge due to its high foot traffic. Additionally, the bathrooms, adorned with high-quality granite countertops, were carefully polished to a mirror-like finish.
Our approach combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. We start by grinding the stone surfaces to remove any superficial scratches and impurities. Following this, we use a series of finer grits to smooth the stone and prepare it for the final stage of polishing.
The result of our efforts was visually striking. The restored marble and granite not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but also played a crucial role in reinforcing the hotel's status as a top-tier hospitality leader.
